Music in Me: South Australia
Welcome to Music in Me in South Australia, a distinguished national in-school professional learning initiative designed for all schools in South Australia catering to Foundation to Year 6 students and kindergarten/early learning centers.
Our SA model places a particular focus on mentoring for Foundation to Year 2, with flexibility to deliver mentoring up to Year 6. The Program, established in 2016 by the late Richard Gill OA in partnership with the Australian Youth Orchestra, aligns with the Australian Curriculum and offers a unique opportunity to enhance teaching practices in preparation for the new South Australian curriculum.
In South Australia, Music in Me is a flexible program, available in 1-, 2-, or 3-year durations, with the option to opt in or out at any time. For those hesitant to commit, a 5-week taster program is also available. Each year allows for 16 sessions to be planned with mentors and mentees to make the best use of your time with the specialist teachers.
Applications for Music in Me 2025 are now open – see below for more information.
