Unpacking the Curriculum
Join the NSW Department of Education’s Creative Arts K-6 Advisors for an informative workshop designed to suit both music specialists and general classroom teachers K-6. The session will provide:
- a curriculum reform update
- an overview of the NSW Creative Arts K-6 Syllabus (2024) with a focus on what’s new and what’s different
- details of the department’s planned support package, including an in-depth look at a newly published resource to support quality implementation of creative arts
- opportunities to ask questions and engage in collaborative discussions focused on syllabus implementation within individual school contexts.
This workshop is suitable for all teachers and school leaders across public, independent and Catholic sectors. Participants will be provided with links to practical resources and further professional learning that will directly support classroom practice.
