Join Katie for an immersive workshop where you’ll experience firsthand the top 5 games and activities that have proven successful across diverse educational settings. Designed to be taken straight back to your classroom, these activities will be demonstrated using the Orff process with minimal equipment, ensuring they are accessible and engaging for all students.
In this interactive session, Katie will guide you through collective music-making experiences that introduce musical concepts and incorporate Social Emotional Learning skills. Watch your students take ownership of these activities, adapting and leading them in ways that enhance their learning and classroom community.

About the presenter: Katie Hull-Brown
With a 20-year Music Education portfolio career, Katie Hull-Brown has connected with family, preschool and primary school communities to facilitate active music making and provide explicit Teacher Mentoring, shining a light on process to share the power of Arts Learning.
Formative training in Teaching and Orff Schulwerk pedagogy, together with her family’s passion for music, has been the catalyst for a diverse work life in Education, Curriculum Development, Community Engagement and Arts Learning Leadership.
Career highlights include her lecturing in arts education at Melbourne Polytechnic, National Arts Learning Manager at The Song Room, current Victorian Orff Schulwerk Association presidency, presenting internationally at the NZ Facilitator’s Network 2023 conference; Creative Director of Tuned In Music; providing preschool music classes called Musical Generations to include the elderly, and KIDS (Kids in Darebin Sing) Choir, working with Richard Gill in his National Music Teacher Mentoring Program, gaining a scholarship to attend the 2017 Orff Schulwerk Summer School in Saltzburg, Austria, teaching in the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra’s Pizzicato Effect community outreach program and the Melbourne Youth Orchestra’s 2020 Summer School, and mentoring and curriculum development for Musica Viva and The Song Room.
Katie completed her Master’s in Education in 2023 and in 2021, she completed Leadership Victoria’s Williamson Leadership Program on a scholarship.
