Olivia Coe Fox, a proud Wiradjuri woman is a contemporary Aboriginal singer, Aboriginal Education Officer, and primary teaching student at the University of Sydney. Passionate about working with young people, Olivia combines her love of music and culture to create engaging and meaningful experiences for primary students across New South Wales. 

Olivia began private vocal training at the age of 12 and was a proud member of the Vocal Identification Program (VIP) through KARI Resources and the NSW Department of Education, where she developed her performance skills, cultural knowledge and confidence as a young Aboriginal artist. It was through this program that she first began singing in First Nations Languages, a journey that continues to shape her work today.

In 2020, Olivia made history, performing at CommBank Stadium for the Wallabies vs Argentina Rugby Championship match, marking the official change of the words in Australia’s national anthem. Her performance of Advance Australia Fair, which included Gadigal language, was widely recognised as a powerful moment of unity and progress being the first time ever an anthem had incorporated both a First Nations Language and English at an international sporting event. 

Last year, Olivia made history yet again when she sang in Yawuru language on The Voice Australia, being the first contestant in The Voice history to do so, bringing First Nations language to a prime-time national audience and continuing her mission to elevate and celebrate culture through contemporary music.

Learning through respectful collaboration with Elders and Aboriginal Land Councils, Olivia is deeply committed to sharing language and culture in a way that is authentic and culturally safe. She has taught cultural songs in primary schools across NSW, helping students build confidence in their voices while fostering understanding and respect for Australia’s First Nations cultures.

As both a performer and future classroom teacher, Olivia believes music is a powerful tool for connection, identity and learning. Through song and language, she is passionate about empowering the next generation to sing with confidence and pride.
