Moorambilla Voices is an award-winning arts organisation that provides music and arts education programs for children living in regional and remote Australia. Founded in 2006, Moorambilla Voices’ mission is to inspire and empower young people to explore their creativity and express themselves through music, dance, and visual arts that have a strong connection to culture and Country.
In 2020, during Covid, Moorambilla partnered its exceptional artists with curriculum experts to create 168 20–30 minute modules. Each module showcases the specialised artistry, integrity and immense capacity of the individual artist. They are delivered in a way that is engaging and sequential, and are mapped to the NSW Syllabuses. 42% of the content is First Nations led, created or consulted.
This workshop will present a sample of the First Nations modules, as a taster of how these modules support teachers in engaging their students in arts learning that is meaningful, engaging and easy to use.

Jacob Williams
Jacob has been employed by the three most prominent Australian arts organisations including Bangarra Dance Theatre (BDT), Sydney Dance Company (SDC) and Queensland Ballet (QB). A leader in the Australian performing arts and arts education sectors, Jacob has served on a number of boards and committees across the country and worked as a consultant on national dance education programs.
Jacob has demonstrated success in producing arts performances of scope and scale, managing teams of artists, and increasing company revenue through marketing, corporate partnerships and philanthropy. He has worked across the emerging, independent, small-to-medium and major performing arts sectors, developing influential networks and a deep understanding of the complex arts ecology.
While working in the Australian arts industry, Jacob has seen first-hand the positive impact of arts experiences on individuals and communities, and its ability to transform lives and support societal change. For this reason, and due to many years of service as a choreographer for Moorambilla Voices, Jacob was drawn to the role of Executive Director at Moorambilla Voices for the Company’s vision to support children in rural and remote Australia to grow and achieve their enormous potential, and the Company’s deep commitment to people, land, community and culture, which align with his own values, beliefs and professional experiences.
